Bio:

Edith Ford was born in 1947 in San Antonio, Texas. She has a BFA from the University of Houston in 1969 and a MA in modern art history from the University of Utah.  Travelling in Africa and St Thomas Virgin Islands has enriched and informed her art.  She has spent thirty years teaching art and literacy in New York City as well as Africa and St Thomas.  Working in various materials, she seeks inspiration in nature and symbolic images from literary sources.

 

Mission Statement: 

My art is personal communication concerning myself and my relationship to nature.   Reoccurring landscapes mark my timely path through my life.
